ABOUT ME
My Design Philosophy
When I consider what it is that makes a home beautiful, I believe it reflects the best parts of the people who live in it. While I have my own preferences that reflect my own aesthetic, I don’t believe any particular style is more beautiful than another; if it is what makes the client feel they are home. My initial focus is to always find the light, make sure the layout of the space has good flow and finally to utilize proper scale in all areas of the build and decor.

Once these areas have been addressed the ability to create a beautiful space becomes much easier when I use the following principles to guide the design process.
When possible and appropriate, one should try to use natural materials. I do not believe in being a slave to trends but rather use elements that are timeless in creative ways. Be authentic with your choices and strive to create spaces that will stand the test of time.
I try to approach every space with new eyes. It is my responsibility to create a home that reflects the homeowner in ways that they wouldn't have considered on their own. While I want the space to be beautiful and comfortable it must also be an extension of those who live in it. A home should not feel like a 'show room'. Creating a space that is the heart and soul of the homeowner is my number one priority. My goal is to thoughtfully curate a space that embodies who they are, and who they will be for many years to come.
As a designer I also know that my biggest asset is the team I work with. Being able to work closely with Architects, clients, builders and suppliers in a collaborative way will allow the vision to become a reality and create a final project that is far better than anything I could ever create on my own.
I love a design concept that cohesively mixes and matches quality vintage, modern and original pieces to create a unique yet harmonious home. It is this ability to curate that I am constantly trying to improve.
